My contract is due for renewal how do I do this and keep my current contract

Your contract just carries on until you decide to change with the same data, minutes and cost, so sit back and do nothing.

It might be worth looking at the upgrade options @John34 .

Depending on where you took the contract from there might be better deals available now.
