Contract is up and want a new SIM only deal, not an upgrade

Hi,

Basically my contract is up and I'm really happy with my device. The upgrade options for changing tariff are ridiculous as they're more than what I'm paying now! However, there are some good deals for new SIM only contracts which are more than half of what I'm paying now. How would I go about doing this? Thanks!

Via My O2  and choose UPGRADE

Then chose the sim only tariff you want. The upgrade will automatically cancel your existing contract.

I don't have a Sim only tariff tab ☹️ it only shows Phones and Tablets/other devices tabs.

I wonder if it's because it says my existing contract will end on 29 May?

Are you looking via the My O2 app or via PC /tablet?

That clip I posted came from my PC.

Yeah I was on my PC, my message for upgrading though is slightly different as it says my contract will end 29 May so I wonder if that's why it's not there? Shame as the deal I want expires on 13 May

You need to call O2. All numbers are in this guide. Guide: Coronavirus Community Help and Support 

Use any number , press any option and tell them you want to upgrade to a simo tariff now.

Out of interest, did you get the phone from O2 or a third party like CPW?

Ah I actually got it through mobiles.co.uk do you think that's why?
