My contract has been under my mums name and I now want to take the contract in my name with the same number.

My contract has come to its 2 year end so i'm presuming I will not have to pay any charges?

What do I do now? Can I go online and apply for a new contract under my name now with the same number or do I need my mum to ring o2 directly to change it before hand?

You can't change ownership of a contract but assuming you pass a credit check and get your own contract you can migrate the original number to your new account.
Your mother will need to give consent to do this and when the number is transferred, the old contract will end immediately.

@emberry123 You can take out your own contract in your name but you would have to be credit checked or carry on as you are but your mum has to be with you to do the change of ownership
