Hi all, I’ve been on o2 for almost 2 years now and I’m happy with the plan I’m on. My contract is due to expire next month however at the moment I’m too busy to be thinking about starting a new contract.

What will happen when my contract expires? Will I still get the same monthly allowance and bill? Or will I lose my minutes/data etc?

Just making sure I won’t be left without a functioning phone next month!😂

Hi @Laura21

If you do nothing your contract will keep rolling on each month. If you have any special discount though...you will lose those.

Hope that helps

If you are on refresh, your device plan payments will stop and your bill will be reduced to the airtime payment only, but if you are on a standard contract, your payments won't change, so effectively you will be overpaying on your already paid for device, in which case, I urge you to change to a sim only tariff immediately your contract ends.
You can still upgrade to a new refresh contract in a month or so's time.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Hi @Laura21, and welcome to the forum! slight_smile

Are you on a refresh contract a a SIM only one? Either way, the answers above should help you understand better what's going to happen once your contract expires, but please let us know if you still have some questions around this!
