Contract expiring questions

Hi

My contract is due to expire at the end of the month, and just a couple of questions regarding my options. Im not looking to upgrade straight away (i will eventually just not as soon as my contract expires) so:

1) Im currently on a Refresh contract and pay £15 Device Plan and £9.80 Airtime Bill. Once my contract expires, will the £15 Device Plan Direct Debit automatically drop off my bill, so im just paying the Airtime?

2) I have the 50% Friends and Family Discount, will this continue to be applied to my Airtime Bill even though the contract has expired?

Thanks in advance

Once your contract expires you just cancel the airtime and are free to walk away. More here

Thanks for that. I dont actually want to leave o2 tho, just continue as is until i decide to upgrade with o2 in the future

Also regarding o2 open (which i assume is the same as friends and family) it says:

"O2 Open gives customers 25% off airtime plans with 3GB or above data and 15% off airtime plans below 3GB. This is across all Refresh 24 month Pay Monthly voice and Mobile Broadband tariffs."

On my current contract its 50% off my Airtime plan, so has this changed now to 25%?

@paulbacon  You'd be best advised to take a look at the links provided, and also speak to customer service to discuss your options. http://www.o2.co.uk/contactus

Hi Paul.
Your F&F discount carries on at full rate.
This was the same as mine and the device plan finished 2 years ago. My airtime is still running with 50% discount and will do until you change it.
Note, if you upgrade you will need a new discount code as yours won't carry over.

Just to add to this, been looking at phones to upgrade to and will stick with a Galaxy phone as always had these. Seeing as the S8 will most likely come out early 2017 as Samsung seem to release their new Galaxy phones around March/April, would a price drop of the S7 by likely around this time too? If so would wait until then to upgrade to the S7

It's a logical assumption but no one can say for certain.
