Contract ending - what happens to my number?

Anonymous
Not applicable

My contract is due to end this week (Friday), and I want to change providers.

I have been told by an O2 advisor that I will have to pay £20 to get a PAC code today, or I can ring on Friday (the day my contract ends) and get it then for free.

Can anyone tell me what happens to my number if I don't manage to get through to O2 to get my PAC code on the day my contract ends?

Thanks

It's free to get your PAC at any time.
You only have to pay if you use it before the end of your contract (and hence have to pay cancellation fees).
Get your PAC now and give it to your new provider on Thursday. This should then change over on Friday for you. (free).
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Where do they find these people who just make things up? PAC has always been free as is unlocking on contract which you should get done now.
