Contract Cancel & PAC Code Question

Anonymous
Not applicable

My 24 month minimum term comes to an end on 25/6/2014 and I want to take up a better deal with another network. I understand after this date I will be on a 30 day rolling contract.

My question is if I request and use a PAC Code during this 30 day period will this automatically cancel the contract or do I still have to give O2 notice of my leaving?

Hi

Once the other network uses the pac within 30 days from o2 this cancels your contract with o2.

Requesting a PAC does nothing unless you use it. Your contract will continue to run until your number is ported to a new network.
30 days notice is not required to be given as you will be billed up to the last day of your contract anyway.
If you use your PAC around the 15th of June you should be OK to maximise your O2 use without any additional months to pay.
Remember the PAC expires after 30 days and if not used you will need to request a new one.

I would also suggest that you try out the other networks SIM cards via Payg so you know you get good signal.

Also while your with O2 get your phone unlocked to all networks which is free to contract customers.

Here is the form. https://www.o2.co.uk/apps/help/help?qid=1&q1=2&route=unlocking&case=Handset%20Unlocking%20Form

You can then use your phone on the new network or increase it's street value.
