O2 have a procedure for this so you need to call customer service.

Numbers here Guide: Coronavirus Community Help and Support

Say fraud or upgrade if you have to to get put through to an agent.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Unfortunately you are still liable for all costs associated with your account, although this is outside of your control.

Can you not ask the Police if its ok to replace the SIM card, and put this in a different handset so that you can use the airtime.

Police have not been helpful at all . Have said that they can keep the handset and sim until end of investigation which could be months! It seems unfair to be paying a monthly airtime fee and using no air time .. So frustrating
