Complicated monthly plan situation

Hi! So I was previously an o2 customer with the current iPhone I am using however since I was under 18 my mother was paying my monthly bill for me on an o2 account that only she has access to (so the direct debit came from her account but for my phone if that makes sense). Now that I am an adult I am now going to be paying my own sim only phone bill. SO, today I bought a new monthly £15.99 plan for the same phone I am using. I have multiple questions and issues regarding this. First of all I stupidly chose the Esim option but have realised my iphone 8 does not support this so is it possible for me to be sent a physical sim in the post instead now that I have already ordered my monthly plan? Also, does my mother have to cancel the previous o2 subscription that I had for my phone in order for the new one I have bought to work? Is there a way for me to keep my old number as it has given me a new one with the pin I cannot install because my phone doesn't have the Esim feature?

Basically I want to know if this monthly subscription I have ordered will all transfer to the same iphone 8 I have been using even though I have bought it using a new o2 account that is in my name with my direct debit ? I assume I cannot really do anything with it until I have the new sim.

Any help at would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Easiest way to get a physical sim is to go in store with photo ID.

You can also request one from O2 but will take longer to arrive Guide: How to find help & contact O2

To get yoour number you need to request a number migration which will cancel your old contract Guide: Migration & porting into O2

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
