When I gt my iPhone SE through Apple they arranged for me to continue with o2.  They said they had arranged separate device and calling plans but they did not and I am on a combined plan for 2 years.  Obviously the device payment element should stop after 2 years but I am suspicious as "my o2" states that my device plan has been paid off.  This is incorrect as I never had one.  Does anyone know if o2 automatically adjusts the payment or will I have to terminate the contract at the end and ask for a SIM only tariff?

If you are on refresh https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Pay-Monthly-Pay-and-Go/How-does-O2-Refresh-work/ba-p/1014093 the device payment stops once it's paid off but only contracts direct with o2 can get refresh, so you will need to call customer services and change to a sim only tariff to save money on your monthly payments.
