Clarification on Calling Costs when abroad

Please someone could clarify the costs of calling when abroad 

I understood that when abroad calling UK numbers is like calling those numbers when in UK so is included in my tariff + boundles.... OK 

but what about calling the country were I am or other EU countries ????

in other words

If I have unlimited call plan in my O2 tariff and I am in Spain and I call a Spanish or an Italian number would it be free ?????

do I need to use the international prefix ??????

Yes, it is free to call any EU country when you are ROAMING in the EU yourself and yes, you need to dial the international dialling prefix exactly as you would when at home.
