I just received my new phone, do I need to wait until the charge runs out before charging it again to better future battery life or is that not a thing anymore?

No need with modern batteries.

Just charge as needed but try to avoid leaving on charge overnight too mich.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)
