My contract was due to end on 18th Nov which i checked with O2. I got my PAC code and was told once i activated this my contract would end. I did this on the 18th Nov but they have charged me early cancellation from 18th Nov - 17th Dec. Anyone else had this? impossible to get through to someone.

Hi @Anonymous if you look at this help link you will see O2 are entitled to charge an early termination fee (tariff dependent) http://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Pay-Monthly-and-Pay-Go/Cancelling-Your-Contract-A-Guide/td-p/566774

O2's own info here http://www.o2.co.uk/help/account-and-billing/leaving-o2

You need to keep trying 202 u until you get through, annoying but the only way you'll get it sorted. Early morning from 8am is the quietest times.

If I'm understanding the OP's post, they canceled on the day they thought the contract was meant to end, but technically they had already started the next month. Even if they did, as they asked for their PAC and then used it, they should only be charged pro rata and not the full month, as from the 18th they were out of contract. Am I right or wrong about that?

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

This is because you need to give 30 days notice to cancel. Even if you don't use the 30 days you still get billed for it. However, usually it will show as a credit on your account which you can claim back.
Check your account shows as "disconnected" in your MyO2 and then send in this form

Yes.. I think the cancelling contract link explains all of the above.....(Except the part about claiming back monies owing, if its not put back automatically into the ops account)

No, that's why there is a claim form.
