So if i message/call someone on a holiday in jamaica, but is still using his uk number will i have extra charges?

No charges at all for you. It doesn't matter where in the world another UK number is you only pay normal charges or they ill come from your allowance.

@Hi25 Look at like this.
if you didn’t know the person was abroad, you would have still texted? Therefore you would still only be texting a person with a U.K. number in the U.K. you would think and therefore wouldn’t get a charge.

@Hi25 Your friend can receive texts for free if they have a UK number. If they are with O2 and on a Pay Monthly contract or Pay & Go, these are the charges if they want to call or text back to you.
