Why am I being charged £1 per day for data when I am using my home broadband. I thought this was not charged for, since you are already paying for it.

Hi @Anonymous Check your phone settings. You sound as if you have mobile data turned on (if so turn it off)...This £1 charge is invariably for the web daily tariff...

Wifi sleeps on the iphone and switches to mobile data automatically. You need to switch off mobile/cellular data altogether to stop the charges.

Many thanks all who have replied. Just spent nearly 20 minutes on an o2 chat line and got nowhere. Thanks for all your useful suggestions, which I have followed

Some apps are now allowed to keep WiFi on if background app refresh is on for them.
