I got a text from O2 stating i need to phone 0844 809 0202 to pay a late payment.

I used my mobile to phone but mu husband tells me that would have cost a lot of dosh.

Is he correct? I am on pay monthly with 01,02 and 03 landlines and mobiles as free calls up to 300 mins

Don't quote me on this but I'm pretty sure I've dialled the 0844 number in the past when i've been abroad and not been charged for it, I have a feeling the 0844 number for customer service is free from a pay monthly phone.... I coudl be wrong though.

If in doubt call 202, free.

If your phone is working ring 202 or 2797 which are free on Pay Monthly.

You can also do it online in MyO2.

The number you were given is 5 pence per minute from a landline.

Yes, you will be charged 35ppm for 0844 calls but as perksie says just dial 202 from your mobile, it's free.

Not on the CS number 0844 809 0202, that's only 5 pence a minute from a landline.

I downloaded an app for my iPhone that looks to see if there is a magic number that will use your inclusive minutes instead.

There are a few different ones in iTunes to choose from.
