Should i be charged for this call or should it be included in my minutes?
Also while in Egypt i got charged for 4 texts, which is fine but i do not recognise the number on my bill?

The texts from Eygpt will be a service sending background SMS for authentication, and other data to the service provider.
It depends on what number you have called back here in the UK, as some numbers are chargeable.
The best thing to do is speak to o2 either by phone on 202 or 0344 809 0202 or just send them a message on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG)

[personal details removed] was the mobile number called from Amsterdam, would i be charged for this?

That number should be free to call.
The text number shown on your bill may well be the International SMS gateway number which usually ends in 1234

OK thanks. So how do i claim the money back for my Amsterdam call? Bit of a worry that i have to claim this back, i wonder how many of these o2 simply get away with?

you’d need to call O2’s customer service team about – give them a call on 202, 0344 809 0202, or specific payment management number 0800 902 0217 / 0800 032 5302
Thanks
