I’ve just taken out a sim only contract. However, I have been/am being charged for picture messaging. Surely this isn’t right?
How do I resolve this issue, seeing as o2 are not answering calls and there are no agents online to chat about this matter.

Hi, Mms, If you send a photo via text message it is a chargeable service, as it is not included in the contract or on Pay & Go for free. If you send them via Messenger, Whatsapp or email they will be free via wifi or if sent using your data allowance.

Hi
Thanks for this. I have previously been on a contract with o2 for many many years, and all mms messages were included in my allowance, so I’m surprised to read that they are not.
This makes no sense to me, as people send mms messages almost routinely nowadays!
I’m being charged 54p per message!!

That's why I now always send mine via Messenger, WhatsApp or email, rather than by text. I too learnt the hard way by forgetting they weren't included.

@Mms

You used to get 25 free mms per month but o2 now see them as a money making alternative.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
