Charged double for changing direct debit date

Needed to change my direct debit date by 4 days from the 24th to the 28th of the month and was told that my airtime plan for next month will be double but she couldn't explain to me why, can someone answer this please.

It's standard practice as you pay a month in advance so any changes trigger this rule.

Standard to be charged double? I’d expect to pay a little extra to cover the 4 days but that’s ridiculous

It's double because you pay in advance for the full month.
