My ex husband and I both had phones in his name, am I able to transfer mine into my name now?

Unfortunately it's not that simple.

Channge of ownership is not possible on standard consumer accounts.

The best time to make a change is when out of contract as it enatails closing the contract you want to change the name on and taking a new one in your name.

Once you have the new contract in your name, you can then migrate the old number to it, which closes the old account, hence why best done when out of contract to avoid early termination fees.

Your ex husband will need to contact customer service with you on the call, and then you will need to pass all the necessary credit checks in order to take on the contract and provide details for payments.
