hi
so today I changed my tariff on my o2 - shorty after I had no service and my o2 isn't loading. Spoke to customer service on chat and apparently my account has been deactivated.
I called customer service (03448090202) and was told I need to have a new o2 account opened and they can't activate my original - has this happened to anyone else? I thought it was scam on the phone. all this to change tariff, they make it so difficult. if I would of known this I would of left the change to tariff

Sounds completely stupid, but then nothing is a surprise these days.....
@O2Sarah- is on in the morning so look out for a message from her about this.

Yeh seems pretty ridiculous this happens after they make it so easy to be able to change your tariff in the app - not like it’s a new option to change tariff. More of an inconvenience than anything - will call them in the morning

I wonder if something has trigged it to order you a new sim card, which means it automatically cuts off the current sim card to prevent fraud and sim hijacking. But is just an annoyance.

Crossed my mind but the need to have a new account doesn't fit with that.
