Our concern is that customers always get the very best advice and are happy with their lot.
If not we can help to advise how it can be resolved slight_smile

Wow, what a debate!

It's great that so many people are making sure I get the right advice and service.

I can tell you now that 2G, 3G 4G or an G was not explained by the adviser when I was upgrading.  It wouldn't have meant anything to me anyway at the time.

However, when I did upgrade I got the following text message from O2:

"Great news, your 4G service is ready. Just a few final steps before you get started.  Make sure your 4G sim is in your 4G phone" ........etc.

This is why I questioned what 4G was.

Anyway, I have just received my new phone and I'm now going to try to set it up.  I may be some time!!!!!

You will be fine (says me... who wasn't) wink

However at least you know that you can come back here for any further help etc. Enjoy your new phone.

Hi everyone.

Well, it's been a nightmare setting my phone up.  Just couldn't get service.  Hurdle after hurdle. Now seems to be ok.

Can any of you help me with the following:

How can I transfer the data from my old phone onto the new iPhone?

How can I use the internet and how can I access my hotmail account?

What was your old phone ?

Gmail would have backed up your contacts if you used it. Just input that into the email accounts in your phones settings.

DropBox can be used for most other things.

What sort of 'data' are you wanting to move across.

If you don't have loads of Contacts then manually key them in.

To use your Hotmail address here is the walk through http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4810

To use the internet on your iPhone ask O2 customer services to put you on iData settings on your account.
