Cap on contract.

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi, when I got my Bold from phones4u in chelmsford, I was told by the salesgirl there was a £40.00 cap on the contract if the phone was lost/stolen. the phone was bought for my son, who is away at present, so there's a greater risk of him losing it.

On checking the small print I can find no reference to the cap........is there actually such a cap? Or were P4u pulling a fast one?

Cheers.

There is no cap applied by O2, I believe Tesco provide that, I'm not sure if anyone else does.

If it's lost or stolen you are liable until O2 are contacted to stop the sim from working.

There is a data spend cap of around £40 if used abroad.

I remember CPW supplying contracts some time ago, where if you reached the upper limit of the bundles then the only way to carry on using the services was to top up like you do on payg.
