Hi,
Was just wondering if there was any soultion to my current situation. I'm not hopeful, but had to ask!
I currently have 2 x iPhone X, ( one for me and one for my partner) taken out on the first day they were available at a whopping £77 per month (unltd calls & texts, 20gb data).
The problem is I just can't justify the amount of money I'm spending - There are companies offering the phone for an eyewatering £40 a month less for a package, granted, lower than mine, but still very similar.
The reason we upgraded to the X rather than the 8 was that the price difference wasn not huge between the 2.
If I can't get anything sorted with the price I, for the first time in 20 years, fully intend to leave o2 as soon as the contract is up.
Does anyone have any experience of this? Or is it just a case of 'suck it up' until I'm able to leave?
Any help would be great!

Unfortuantley when you took out the contract either online or in store, you agree that you can afford the costs you are signing up for, and im afraid I can see o2 throwing that back at you.
Dont forget that £77 a month includes the payment for the phone which will be most of the monthly cost, i know for the X is around £49.00 for the 256GB one and £42 for the 64GB, this bit wont be reduced as you are on a credit agreement..
I doubt you will get the X and airtime for £40 per month without paying a heavy upfront fee

I have to agree with @madasaf1sh the upfront fee would be massive. I have a 7 Plus that i upgraded to last year & recently found that phone to be still in the higher price brackets considering it was launched nearly 2 years ago

Especially as this particular phone is over £1000 overall to purchase

So you want the all singing all dancing newest member of the iPhone cash cow on the day of release. You will pay top dollar no matter where you take out the contract. Offers change and monthly costs come down in time. You wanted the phone's on launch day so I'm surprised you only now realise you are paying silly money when you could have waited and shopped around. I too am a little sceptical that you could save £40 a month without compromising on tariff or upfront cost.
