I upgraded my phone to the iphone 11 pro max that arrived today. Put the sim in, did the backup recovery with itunes, and all is well expect the fact I can't seem to be able to make any phone calls or receive/send messages. I am an O2 monthly paying customer.

Anyone knows what I should do since I can't call O2? Thank you!

Hi @smash

Text the word active to 2020 and save the settings that get sent back.  Or check your APN here…

@smash

Reboot the phone or switch airplane mode on and off.

It will still be activating so might take a couple of hotrs to come online.

Go to Settings - General - Reset - Reset Network Settings

Accept Warning message and it start wiping the network settings, then your device will restart.

Once it come back on, login and your new network settings will have been refreshed and you should see network connectivity.

Test phone and messages

Problem has been fixed already.

OP was trying to use a blank sim card.

Good to see you got your issue sorted @smash ! slight_smile

Cheers for the troubleshooting @MI5 , @Cleoriff  and for the additional suggestion @bagmouss , even though the issue got resolved, your info might end up helping someone else later on if they have similar queries and happen to come across this topic. thumbsup
