I have moved to the US and need to cancel my contract but I would like to keep my number, can I switch my pay monthly to pay as you go?

@OllieDavies You'd need to get a Pay & Go sim to migrate the number to it. Don't know how you'd manage that if you're already in the US, unless you have a friend in the UK get one to send to you.
