Cancelling midway

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi all,

Bit confused on what I actually do but to get the jist of it it's all about 'Upgrading/cancelling'.

I have 10 months remaining on my O2 contract for my iPhone 7 which I got when it released September 2016.

I can recycle this phone or upgrade for free as I chose that option and go to a new phone via O2 and sign up for another 2 year contract.

If I was to recycle the phone and effectively pay off the device plan early; can I also cancel my airtime contract without any cost also?

O2 have said via 202 they can't price match me against a 'new' contract again with O2 via Mobile phones direct..

Anyone able to give me any guidance?

@Anonymous Please follow the links provided by @Cleoriff for any explanation you may need. In a nutshell, if you take out a contract with Mobile Phones Direct, although pricewise it may sound better, it will be a two year contract with no option to upgrade early or pay off your contract early, as you can do with Refresh. No one here can really advise you on whether that's best for you or not.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2
