Hello,

I want to cancel my direct debit for my tablet. How can I do this? O2 said they would send me a code, but it doesn't work because it's an ipad and so not a phone. I know its mobile broadband number, but I've recieved nothing and so can't change anything. Any help would be appreciated slight_smile

You cancel the direct debit directly with your bank

It's so very easy with online banking

There is no such thing as a direct debit which ou can't cancel

Did you by any chance set it up as a Recurring Credit Card payment rather than a direct debit?

@c42021

You need to cancel the contract first then cancel the direct debit with your bank once the final bill has been paid.

Guide: Cancelling Your Contract

or call O2.

Numbers here Guide: Coronavirus Community Help and Support
When it comes to the reason you are calling stay silent for 15 seconds and you will be taken to the keypad options.
Press 2 for Everything Else
Press 5 for More Options
Press 7 for Anything Else which will put you though to someone.
Say "Upgrade", "Lost/Stolen" or "Fraud" if you have to, to get put through to someone.
8.00am is the best time to call if you can.

If you cancel the DD without cancelling the contract @c40201 then o2 will chase you for outstanding money.
You need to make sure the contract has been cancelled as well.
If you need to receive a message then you could put the sim in a phone temporarily.
