I’ve just come to the end of a 12 month sim only and upgraded online to a new sim only plan 6 days ago, I’ve now decided I want to cancel the upgrade and port my number to a new provider, I’ve spoken to CS, surprisingly my phone call was answered immediately, they advised me they don’t need to do anything their end, all I have to do is complete the number port before the end of the 14 days..
Does that sound right? I’ve got a feeling I’ll still be charged the remaining amount of the new plan?

If done within 14 days the system will recognise it and you'll be OK, but your number must leave O2 within the 14 days.
