Cancelling a new sim that’s been ordered

Hi guys can anyone help I’ve ordered a new sim last night as I couldn’t find the deal on here for an existing customer, but then after ordering it found it 😬 and have upgraded my current contract and now I can’t get through to anyone on the phone or chat to cancel the sim that’s due to arrive can any one advise what to do? I thought if I don’t activate it I can just forget it but I’m guessing it won’t be that easy can anyone advise please thank you
