Cancelled monthly contract, cancelled number, O2 still asking for payment

Anonymous
Not applicable

I chatted with an online assistant on 21 June 2013 and they confirmed to me that my account would be disconnected and number deleted on 20 July 2013 and my final bill would be paid 14 days after this. I paid what I owed. Now I go to my account page, pay monthly and my account is live, my number is live and I now owe 2 months of billing and my next bill date is 28 Sept 2013. I have proof of my account cancellation transcript in my email. O2 please delete my account and all 'charges' outstanding.

You need to call customer service. Live chat shouldn't be used for cancelling contracts and I'm surprised they did that online. If you kept a copy of the transcript refer customer service to that as it should be on record. I would also check your credit file in order to make sure the outstanding payments haven't be logged as defaults.

O2 won't respond normally on here as it's essentially a customer to customer forum unless one of the site admin pick up on it. Call them asap.

Omg another instance of Live Chat incompetence.

As Jonsie says ring 02 Uk Customer Services in 202 ASAP.

Well done for opting to keep the transcript.

Things like this if got out of hand could affect your credit reference file.
