I received a letter in the post yesterday claiming I owe £6 on an 02 sim. I have the sim but it has never been used. I have called 202 to cancel and after confirming I would like to cancel, the phone call was ended immediately.

Now the sim card says it is not provisioned and I am unable to call 202 back as the sim is not registered to a network.

 

Has this sim been cancelled? I didn't pay anything.

You need to confirm with O2.

You can reach the Payment Management team on 0800 902 0217.
The opening times are:
Monday to Friday – 8am to 8pm
Saturday – 8am to 6pm
Sunday – 9am to 6pm

Thankyou for the reply.

However I am unable to call that number. 

(I had to use a very old phone to be able to make the call to 202. Which has no other sim apart from this 02 one or credit to be able to call)

Is this the only point of contact regarding my issue?

 

Does the phone call usually disconnect when you ask to cancel?

As the sim is dead I think it's safe to assume they have cancelled and disconnected you.
