Cancellation within 14 days

Hello everyone,

 

I have signed up to a sim only deal online that I decided to cancel within 14 days.

 

I called O2 Customer Services on 202 in two consecutive days, on day 8 and day 9. In both occasions they confirmed the line had been disconnected at the end of the call, but my number is still active, both on my phone and on O2 online.

 

I am now worried the Customer Services isn't actually cancelling it and this will go beyond 14 days.

 

I did ask for a written confirmation on the second call, on day 9, but the customer services assistant said the email would only arrive within 4hs, which it didn't. 

 

If anyone has any advice on how I can get my account effectively closed, please.

 

It's simply a joke that I cannot cancel a contract on a store!

 

Any help will be much appreciated.
