Cancellation notice period

Anonymous
Not applicable

My contract has ended as of today and I'd like to cancel/switch provider immediately.

On the "Cancelling your O2 Contract" page it says:

If you cancel before your contract has ended, we'll need 30 days' notice, and you may have to pay a charge.

This implies that if you cancel after your contract has ended, then no notice is required.

Is this correct?

Thanks

If you are wanting to keep your number then get the pac code and give it to new provider .

When it swaps o2 will generate a final bill (may be a credit) so leave your dd in place until you get a zero bill from o2.

Once contract is complete you can leave at anytime.
You will still he billed for any usage since your last bill.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

@Anonymous If you are not taking your number with you then you will need to give O2 notice to close your account (currently this notice period is 30 days), so unless you are taking your number with you you will need to give 30 days notice to close completely.

O2 operate on a 30 day rolling contract once your 24 month agreement is up.
