I have 2 contracts

1 phone and contract for son

And my own sim only contract.

I am looking for advice on cancelling the contract for the phone and contract I pay for son or how to change it over to him. I realise if I cancel it I will still have to pay for the phone handset and would rather have the contract changed to his name. Please advise and also would I still be able to keep my sim only contract for myself? TIA

Wait until your sons contract has reached it's minimum term they get your son to apply for a new contract in his name.

If he is successful, you can then migrate his old number to the new account, which will cancel the old contract without any additional fees Guide: Migration & porting into O2

As contracts require credit checks you could not transfer it to your son. He would have to have a new contact and the credit check to go with it.

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.
