Can't top up

I bought an O2 PAYG sim from Sainsbury. Have not been able to top up from the first instant. Talked to live chat but to no avail. They said they will forward to support team. That was 12 hours ago! Still no help!

As it's not a widely reported issue I can only assume you have a faulty sim or it's not activating correctly - either way if you call into an O2 shop they will give you a free replacement, so no need to loose your quid slight_smile

Dialled 4445 but it just takes me to top up line. Looked at O2 website but no email to write to. Any ideas?

Sorry, I don't understand...you want to top-up but 4445 takes you to the top-up line so its no use?

Have you checked out all of the different ways of topping up here, including dialling 4444:

I tried 4444 and the web top up. Talked to someone in Live Chat but they cant resolve it either. They said will forward to support team but that was 13 hours ago. I tried to speak to customer service by dialling 4445, but that just takes me back to top up line asking me to top up.

Its frustrating cause I just used the same credit card to top up a Vodafone PAYG SIM just before trying to top up this O2 PAYG

Is it giving you a reason why you can't top up?

4445 should take you to PAYG support but I'm guessing the call centre is closed at the moment. Might be worthwhile trying again in the morning?

Cant remember exact wording, but both web top up and 4444 replies" something is wrong..." or something to that effect. I did call 4445, but there was no option to speak to a live person!..which I thought odd. I will try again next morning, but this is taking time from my work. Realy frustrating. WHat i sreally bugging me is that teh Live Chat person and his supervisor said it will be forwarded to the "support team". Asked for my full name, email and the last 4 digits of the credit card I used. No one from the "support team" called or emailled me.

Hi.

O2 no longer have an e mail contact service I'm afraid.

You have tried any available online banking app. Mine allows me to top up this way.

Until then an ATM or till voucher will have to be utilised.

hope its sorted for you quickly.

4445 will be diverted to the top up line because the call is charged at 25p and if no credit you'd need to top up (if that makes sense)?

I have tried Live Chat again. Again to no avail. I am just really frustrated. I thought O2 was better than this. I have now decided to not use O2 PAYG. I only paid £1 for the SIM, no big loss. Need to make sure friends and family looking for new PAYG SIM not to lose their £1.
