I bought an O2 PAYG sim from Sainsbury. Have not been able to top up from the first instant. Talked to live chat but to no avail. They said they will forward to support team. That was 12 hours ago! Still no help!

It sounds like the sim has maybe expired, underneath the barcode on the back of the pack it should say "Activate by mm/yyyy".

exact same issue here. Support chat just says top up with voucher.

Same here 7 different sims ALL in date 3 different bank cards and 3 different phones used.

Try checking if your postcode registered with your bank is the same you are entering when topping up. Having said that, o2's address data base is often needing updating. It's usually a mismatch of postcard or there are too many cards already used to top up.
