Can't get 4G

I recently moved from TalkTalk 3G to O2 and am in a 4G area but my iPhone 7 only shows 3G!  What do I need to do? Caan't find any help on the website!

@cglover2 call o2 on 202 and ask them to add the iData for iPhone bolt on to your account.

Thanks MI5, just called and they told me to wait 24 hours and then 'Reset Network Settings' in settings! So I should know in 24 hours if this works.

 

I'm surprised this wasn't done automatically when I was set up!

Not too sure, he wasn't specific, just that he had made the change and that it would take 24 hours to work!

Just reboot the phone in about an hour and it "should" have gone through OK.
If not, it will change when o2 run the system maintenance around midnight tonight.

Just a final update, MI5 was right I reset my network settings about 2.00pm and voila 4G.  Obviously the 24 hour comment was a worst case scenario.

 

Once again, I would just comment that I am surprised I had to go through this process, would have thought this should have been done on account/sim/set-up.

 

Got there in the end though, thanks again to MI5 for your assistance and advice.
