Can an account be changed to an adult son or daughter's name?

Anonymous
Not applicable

I have four O2 accounts in my name for myself, my wife, our 20 year old son and our daughter who will be 19 later this month. Both kids are now working so rather than them pay us board we have agreed that they will be responsible for their own bills including their mobile phone accounts which cost around £40pm each.

Can their numbers simply be transferred across into their names? Or will they have to cancel those accounts and they start again with new numbers which would take time (both have upgraded recently) and cause considerable inconvenience?

Thanks in advance - Iain

As long as they pass the credit checks they can be transferred into their names.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

Thanks, I thought that but how? Do I simply call O2 customer services to arrange it?

Yes, call 202 or go into an O2 store. Take proof of id (driving licence/passport etc) if you go in store to do it.
