I want to buy the Sony Xperia Xa on PAYG

I want to use on Giffgaff
Will I get a phone that is unlocked - or at least so I can use on Giffgaff?

Yes both giffgaff and Tesco sims will work in a locked to O2 phone.

You won't get an unlocked phone from O2 and will have to wait 12 months for a payandgo phone to be unlocked.

Giffgaff sell unlocked phones too. Might be cheaper.

Also you can buy giffgaff phones outright or spread the cost with monthly repayments. They seem to have the XA https://www.giffgaff.com/mobile-phones/sony/sony-xperia-xa/phone-details

I got the xa for £80 - 'like new' condition - no scratch or any blemish. It was a bargain I couldn't avoid. Lol
