Can I share data between and iPhone and a iPad using the sharer plans?

Would I be able to get one of the above tariffs (eg £20 3gb/month) and then get a PAYG/free SIM for my iPad and share the data with that using the sharer plans?

If I need to get a separate contract tariff for my iPad then that's of no use to me as I am a light iPad user but want the option there of using my iPhone's data when needed.

Thanks.

If you could get your ipad unlocked, Three's standard PAYG 321 tariff could work out well for you - it's what I use in my tablet.......

I don't believe you can share on a PAYG account.....

Oh that's a shame, I don't really want to spend an extra £8/month on something I might use occasionally.

Oh well.

How about a giffgaff data sim and just add the £7.50 gigabag when you need to use it....?

It doesn't entirely suit my needs as the data runs out. If it was 1gb without expiry, I wouldn't mind paying the £7.50 every so often.

I am not familiar with Apple so others may correct me but if I have read this right you have or want to have a sim only deal for your iPhone and somehow share the data with your pad?

If your iPhone is on contract (i.e. not as a payg) could you not use your iPhone to tether the data connection?

It was more the saving of battery on the device that was sharing the data and thought if it were possible to essentially use 2 SIM cards to a single account, I'd been all over that but I'm not paying for 2 accounts when I can simply tether and suck up the battery usage.

not exactly a shared tariff but they are Top-up, and on some of them the data rolls over up to 90 days...
