My wife and I have swapped phones. Her phone is a paid for 5G phone whereas my phone is on contract with O2 but is a 4G phone. I would like to use the 5G network (I am in the right area for coverage). Can I get a 5G SIM from O2 even though my contracted phone is a 4G phone?

Any O2 store will swap you to a 5g sim for free.
To use 5g you need to be in a 5g area, have a 5g sim and a 5g phone.

The phone on contract in my name with O2 is a Galaxy Z Flip which my wife uses ... but the one I am using now is a Galaxy Note20 Ultra 5G which we own outright.
