Can I cancel my newly entered into SIMO contract?

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hello,

I 'upgraded' 1 month early to a 12 month sim only contract on 30th October (5 days ago) - the £20 On & On contract.

I have now changed my mind and would like to cancel my contract an go to another operator with 4G capabilty.

What cooling off period do i have? I 'upgraded' online.

Thanks all. slight_smile

Haha sorry the sumo bit confused me. In which case it still should be 7 days cooling off because its an "upgrade"

However due to it being technically a new contract a standard 14 day cooling off should apply.

If I'm honest I'd go with the 7 days version. Get into the phone straight away tomorrow and inform them. (Just incase they send you to another department) are you still within 7 days?
Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you’re wrong. So Ive been told wink

You have 7 working days to return the handset, however if your previous tariff has been withdrawn you won't be able to move back onto it. You'll stay on your new up to date tariff. If you choose to change your deal then you will need to return the handset to us and once we have it back we can arrange your new deal because this may have an effect on how long it will be before you can upgrade again.

If you've returned your phone in the cooling off period and chosen another one, the cooling off period doesn't apply to the new phone.

Hello,

There was no phone

I was 11 months into a 12 month plan.

I was offered a 1 month early upgrade so i upgraded to a SIMO (sim only) plan (no phone included)

thanks for your reply

Is there a 4G service in your area and have you checked the price of the 4G tariff's?
