I have just heard from 02 that it is no longer possible to call a landline in Russia using 02. 02 has ended its contract with the Russian landline companies. 02 still promotes the fact that its customers can make (cheaper) calls to Russian landline numbers, particularly if you have the 02 International SIM card. This is simply NOT TRUE. 02 needs to revise its marketing policy and PR information as a matter of urgency

Just caught up with this thread and yes it is good news. Brilliant as well that we had another member @cyrillicguy who actually phoned Russia and got through.... and passed on the info here....A great help to others

Hi guys,
As cyrillicguy and Albret mentioned before. I’ve had it confirmed and we do support these calls.

I've also looked into this and there were no issues with O2 and any landline providers in Russia, as O2 don't sign specific deals with them. There were some issues with a particular mobile network more than a month ago but that is it.Whatever the issue was, it was local and more than likely affected any type of incoming call from abroad. Hope this Clarifies it.
