No, that is incorrect.
If you are in UK calling a UK number anywhere it will come out of your allowance.
Your Daughter will be billed a roaming charge though. If she has O2 travel (which covers EU countries) it will be 50p for an hour.
(just off to check if Corfu is covered).
Edit: Yes, it comes under Greece.

It costs you exactly the same to call a UK mobile as it would in the UK no matter where the mobile is in the world ie it would come from your allowances.
It would however cost her to receive the call. Charges can be found here for her...

Yes totally wrong I'm afraid. It beggars belief they give out wrong information like that. At least you know now it won't cost your good self to call or text.
The only cost is for your daughter to receive call but on O2 Travel, rates are quite cheap. It costs her nothing to receive texts by the way.
