Hi Folks, I am currently in Tenerife and O2 have sent me a message saying they have turned off 4g calling, I am on 250gb of data and I have only made.1, 10 minute call and now I can’t call home, does any of you guys know what’s going on

@Algol Just try rebooting your phone.

Note that you are also limited to 25gb of data before charges when in the euro zone.

@Algol If you download WhatsApp, you can call home over WiFi for free if the people you are calling have the app too.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

Are you sure that you can't make any calls?  If 4G calling (VoLTE) is disabled, your phone should fall back to 3G or even 2G to make calls.

All calls are free to the UK or any other euro zone country from Tenerife.

The (standard) message that O2 customers get texted when working on a mast is that 4g calling has been turned off. It's meaningless and will be sent to any number previously registered on the mast they are working on.

Rebooting usually fixes the issue although it is irrelevant to the OP in this case as they are abroad and not using the mast in any way.
