Does anyone know how much it would cost to ring a UK mobile (3) in Germany from an o2 contract phone?

Yes, your call is free, they will be charged to receive the roaming call, unless Three do free roaming in Germany (they do in some countries).

so it would be free then as I have unlimited minutes? would it not cost the person who receives the call in Germany?
