Call & Text Tariff - Do you keep your top-up as balance?

I have a payg sim on 'Simplicity No Allowance' at the moment, but after looking at alternative tariffs I found the 'call & text' tariff which gives you 25 minutes of calls and 25 texts when you top-up £10 a month (in addition to other allowances if you top up more) which seems better value, but could anyone inform me if the top-up is a charge or do you get to keep your £10 top up as balance? Thanks.

You keep the £10, you only get the allowance though if you top up by £10 each month.

Thanks for that, it seems better than the tariff I'm on at the moment.
