Hi All,
I have just had a 100% useless conversation with someone on O2's Live chat system, so here goes nothing.
Off to the US on Saturday. I don't want to receive any calls whilst I'm out there, not do I want to incur any charges. Will setting up call divert to 901 (blanket divert on all calls) sort this out for me? People have mentioned charges for Voicemail being charged by local networks, and of course I don't want to incur those!
Livechat said on one have it's 35p/min, but then it's included under my tariff (O2 Unlimited) ... then the website says it won't charge if it diverts immediately ... so I'm a little lost!
If a blanket block works, great. If not ... any ideas for a Nokia Lumia User?
Thanks!!

As long as you set all calls to divert to 901 before you leave the uk there will be no charges.
The critical thing is to do it before you leave and are still connected to o2's network.

Lovely, thanks. Seen your advice for diverting, and checked it works. Why could I not get nice straightforward instructions off of O2's LiveChat?
One further Q, some posts on the O2 website advise users to call CS before travelling abroad. This still relevant?

I have never called o2 to notify them but if you do and you make a few calls then at least they know it is you and not somebody stolen your handset.
As it is a free call on pay monthly 202 give them a ring.
