CS refusing to give me pac code for P&G account

Anonymous
Not applicable
I bought an O2 pay and go SIM 5 years ago, and regularly buy O2 top ups. I now want to change to a different network and have been told to get my PAC code so I can keep my number.
When I called CS they said my number is with giff gaff and I have to contact them. But I don't have a giff gaff account, and when I put my number into giff gaff, they say it is not recognised as their number. Online chat confirmed my number is O2 but when I phone O2 again they said it wasn't and I needed to get a PAC code to change it to O2. They said they couldn't help further.
Anyone got any suggestions how I can get a PAC code? I have never even been on the giff gaff website until this happens so I don't know how my number can be with giff gaff?

Yes, my details and balance are there. Just did online chat again and they again said it is an O2 number. They said to call CS again!

Indeed you have to.
I can't see why they'd say it wasn't an o2 number.
If you still get no where, take it up with complaints http://www.o2.co.uk/how-to-complain

Must be a system glitch.

Call again for sure, it's an o2 system fault and maybe you can get through to someone who will check again. Saying there is nothing they can do is unacceptable. If you can't get any sense on your next call then make a complaint.
